Description / Expertise

Rare solid silver revolving breakfast dish made by William Hutton & Sons, hallmarked London 1902. This quality dish is very heavy, has all its original parts and is offered in superb condition.  Revolving dishes are sometimes called bacon dishes as they were used at breakfast and are ideal for bacon, sausages, kidneys etc as the juices are caught in the tray under the mazzarine. Nowadays many people use them as soup tureens.
