Huge cup and cover made in solid silver by the quality maker John Round & Sons hallmarked Sheffield 1905.  This presentation piece was awarded to the winner of the best Oriental Frill pigeon at the Altrincham Agricultural Society in 1912.  An Oriental Frill is an exotic pigeon first bred in China and which later became popular with the Sultans in the Ottoman period.
