Fabulous and rare 4 piece silver tea set (1869 England)
Description / Expertise Very unusual hand-engraved vase-shaped tea set of very good quality, made by the famous company of Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall in 1869. The four pieces have a combined weight of 2371 grams (76.23 ounces). The tall jug measures 12.5 inches in height and 5 inches across. The teapot stands 9 inches high and is 9 inches across. The jug is multi-functional: it has ivory insulators so it can be used for coffee, hot water or even mulled wine.
